Threat from Global Warming Overstated
From the Babylon of Gilgamesh to the post-Eden of Noah, every age has viewed climate change cataclysmically, as retribution for human greed and sinfulness, says ABC News' Philip Stott. Extreme weather events are ever present, and there is no evidence of systematic increases. Outside the tropics, variability should decrease in a warmer world. If this is a "crisis," then the world is in permanent "crisis," but will be less prone to "crisis" with warming. Read the piece here.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press is reporting that the harmful effects of global warming on daily life are already showing up, and within a couple of decades hundreds of millions of people won't have enough water while tens of millions of others will be flooded out of their homes each year as the Earth reels from rising temperatures and sea levels, according to portions of a draft of an international scientific report to be released in Belgium later this year.
